Match Barrels/Compensators
Barrel work – Match barrels – Compensators
There are many factors that affect the accuracy of the pistol besides the installation of a match barrel. For that reason, certain services are included with the fitting of the barrel. This includes a detailed inspection of the entire pistol and consulting with the customer about possible problem areas that may effect the accuracy, the safety, or the reliability of the pistol.
Match barrel installation includes:
Match barrel fitted for optimal accuracy Correctly fitted bushing and link Correct throat/polish
Cut chamber to correct depth and polish Correct breech face Dress slide interior
Re-cut/match frame feed ramp and polish Correct extractor [ifusable] Correct ejector [if usable]
Correct the recoil spring guide Crown the barrel Correct the slide stop
Advise customer as to other possible issues Provide load data Provide sample of match load

All bull or tapered sleeve barrels include a standard reverse plug fit tothe slide (custom plug at extra cost)
The full bull barrel is about an ounce heavier than the kart barrel with a tapered sleeve. both of the barrels have the same front end appearance when installed into the pistol. the advantage of the tapered sleeve barrel is that better accuracy can be achieved with the tapered sleeve since the sleeve has positive and full front end lock-up, at the end of the slide interior. the bull barrel has a wedge style lock-up that calls for the barrel to be slightly under- sized at the muzzle end for fitting/clearance reasons. both styles are very reliable and both have a “field” advantage in that they are easy to field strip without the use of a bushing wrench.
